Dear Colleagues/Dear colleagues?

When starting a letter or email, you’re referring to a group of people using a collective noun as a substitute for a name. That means it’s a proper noun and requires a capital. The same goes for any group you might be writing to – Dear Employees, Dear All, Dear Friends, Dear Team.
